Co- Founders: Gia Saggar, Bela Saggar
Gia (age 16) and Bela (age 13) are sisters who have been blessed to have had mindfulness practices introduced to them from a young age. These techniques have helped them learn to better deal with their emotions as well has introduced them to concepts of kindness, gratitude, self respect and love. With stress & anxiety on the rise amongst children, the girls decided it was time to create a tool that could help introduce young ones to mindfulness in a fun and relatable way. Their STOP, BREATHE & RESET method is an effective calm down technique. They are excited to share this with other children. They wish to grow the "Omi & Friends" brand with other characters that encourage social-emotional growth.

Deciding how I wanted to raise my 2 girls was a very important decision. I wanted to provide them with tools that would allow them to grow into successful and emotionally stable young adults. Mindfulness & Meditation was a large part of my upbringing. I began to realize it was this foundation that helped me significantly throughout my own life. It allowed me the mindset needed to be successful in school, higher education, relationships, and as a mother. As a medical professional within the neurological world, the benefits of mindful practices became even more evident with the increasing scientific research supporting it. The joining of my scientific mind, and my personal upbringing lead me deeper into my mindfulness journey. After completing training courses with Mindful Schools, my passion led me to begin teaching these valuable skills not only to my own girls, but also to other children within our community. Soon after, my daughters, created a prototype and a better way to teach mindful breathing. With this came the birth of Omi the Elephant and the mindful buddies collection.
As I walk hand and hand with my girls on this journey of life, I invite you all to join us. It all begins and ends with “the breath”. Let’s teach our children the value and power that exists within it.
